Lime disconnecting internet if payment is 2 days late

We unfortunately still have Cable & Wireless as our phone and internet provider.  Today we found our internet service disconnected.  When my husband called, he was told it was because our bill payment was late.  And that it is now policy to disconnect service after payment is 2 days overdue.  Yes, 2 days.  Our internet disconnect is the fastest response from Cable & Wireless we have experienced to date.  If this is their level of committment to their customers, how sad for all of us.

Happily though, there are now other providers for phone and internet service.  Apparently C&W or Lime, as their expensive name change now calls them, are unaware of the other phone and internet companies available on Cayman, as tactics such as this policy will surely have people rethinking just exactly why they would continue to give money to C&W.

We have been customers of C(ompletely) W(orthless) for 15 years. We are seasonal residents, but leave our internet and phone service on for the 6 months we are off island.  For this, we pay over $300 CI per month to keep service on, and this does not include the excessive fees charged when we use long distance. Occasionally, our mail forwarding is a few days late, and so our utility payments can run 2-5 days overdue.  This has never been an issue before, and I am perplexed as to how the company has decided that this is a wise undertaking, especially in this strained economy.  .

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this new level of prompt "service" and this new interest in "customer satisfaction".  Obviously, we will be shopping other companies for internet & phone service when we return to the island.
