This is a rhetorical question
This is a rhetorical question seeing as the public won't be consulted and McKeeva will do as he pleases. Even DoE will be swept under the rug.....
Just another nail in the Cayman Coffin.
I think the north sound
I think the north sound should be dredged to let the cargo come in and dock where it would be inabtrusive to everything else. Straight shot to the holding areas. Already protected Docking area. Very little cargo traffic Through major areas. Just my own opinion.
O wait.... Then anyone else can use it too.
Are there 32 people on this
Are there 32 people on this island with mega yachts?
They should dredge it and put the dredgings on $even Mile so developer$ can build more condo$.
Only purpose the North Sound
Only purpose the North Sound serves in its present form is that of a large urinal for a bunch of sunday boozers.
Now you would not want to change it for anything else would you.

That and a nursery ground and home for snapper, grouper, lobster, conch etc. The North Sound is an extraordinary, significant natural resource for the people of theCayman Islands . Not only is it one of the largest semi-enclosed natural lagoons in the western hemisphere, it has very complex processes (erosion, accretion, currents, wave dampening effects etc) that we will never fully understand even if a comprehensive EIA is performed.
I am not a fan of the dolphin attractions that have sprung up recently but when we become enlightened enough to realize that they are just cruel, they can be shut down. However, I would fight tooth and nail to prevent the dredging of the North Sound. My problem is that there would be no turning back. Once it becomes apparent that the effects of the dredging have caused such huge environmental damage it will be too late.

If the mega yachts can tie up
If the mega yachts can tie up at the Ritz we can all go out in our dugouts and dive for coins. This will create a thriving dugout building industry and help the local economy.
The cruise ship Piers and
The cruise ship Piers and Cargo Port belong in the North Sound.
Dont saddle my offspring with multi millions in debt and then they still have to put the Ports there anyway.
I can tell you know nothing
I can tell you know nothing about the North Sound to make such an ignorant statement!
What do you stand to gain
What do you stand to gain from wasting money to put the Ports elsewhere???
