Two Cubans on the run

(CNS): Updated -- Police are still hunting for two Cuban migrants who escaped from the Fairbanks detention centre in George Town, where they were being held, having landed in Cayman recently. The RCIPS say the men left the detention centre around 3pm Saturday afternoon. The police are asking people to report any sightings of 30-year-old Pedro Luis Diaz Cruz (left) and 18-year-old Carlos Ramon Maria Gomez (right) to the RCIPS on 9494222 and provide the time and location where they were last seen.
Sightings can also be reported to Deputy Chief Immigration Officer (Enforcement) Gary Wong (526-0480), or Enforcement Inspector Joey Scott (526-0433) or Assistant Chief Immigration OfficerJeremy Scott (326-2984) or any police station.
Officials are also asking people with boats moored near the coastline to ensure they are properly secured.
Further decriptions of the men were also offered on Monday. Cruz has black hair and brown eyes and is five feet, eight-inches tall, weighing 135 pounds. While Gomez has brown eyes and hair and is five feet 10-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds.

This is what happens when you help the wrong people.
I pray they have eaten and
I pray they have eaten and are on their way to freedom. As human beings we don't have the right to treat these people this way, suppose we had to walk (or flee as they are trying to do) in their shoes would you all still feel the same ? Have some compassion people they are only human.

Anyone who thinks there isn't
Anyone who thinks there isn't organised crime here needs to think again. How can two people with no connections here whatsoever escape and remain at large without someone helping them? Not only are those who let them escape culpable, but those who are assistiing them remain at large are culpable too. Why is it that it seems like everyone, including the government, don't want to follow laws and rules these days? Are we heading for anarchy?

I thought I heard the RCIPS chopper flying around the other day, I assumed a group of Cuban fishermen had a hole in their boat or something!
Seriously though, why and how were these vagrants allowed to escape into society, will anybody loose their job due to this serious neglect? Did anybody think to chase them, or were the Immigration staff holding the door open for them?

This is the second time, I thought this was the third or forth time, and now they are consulting the security company who let the prisoners escape on how they can fix the problem???? Really???does this really make any sense to anyone. Get rid of them they are as useless as the RCIPS.

The person incharge of the detention center is the same person who has always been, and who does not know what they are doing. The dention center for refugees is a joke. Do you really think these Cubans are escaping out of there. I worked with these Cubans and their story is different.
