Cop car collides with fence
(CNS): The RCIPS have confirmed that a police Suzuki SUV has been involved in a collision with a property off Elgin Avenue in George Town this evening. At around 7:35pm on Thursday the car, which was traveling from Shedden Road towards Elgiin Avenue, collided with fencing at the junction of Elgin Avenue and Louise-Llewelyn Way and drove into the vacant property of number 14 Louise-Llewelyn Way, where it came to a stop, an RCIPS spokesperson said. In what is turning out to be a difficult week for the police, the injured officer was transported by ambulance to the George Town hospital, where she is being treated.
Police said the SUV was damaged, as well as the fencing of the empty building, but stated that the cause of the accident is unknown and the matter is now being investigated.

Isn't it funny that according to the law, the only persons qualified and authorized to drive while using a cell phone are the Police, and they are the only ones that have "CRASHED" while using a cell phone?
All the cops I know are Human
All the cops I know are Human Beings.... Human beings doing a job that non of you critic Morons are capable of, so leave them alone. how often do you hear of a police vehicle being damaged?.. and how many miles do they travel every day?. Maybe next time you see the RCIP they'll be there to lock up your stupid selves
In reply to your comment what
In reply to your comment what job are they doing that no other moron can? because I cannot think of one and for the record this is not the first accident involving police. They are human beings but should be held to a higher standard as they are suppose to uphold the law. If you would like to compare them to everyone else then you would be accurate to the term morons.
To continue this statement..
To continue this statement.. when have you seen the police do their jobs correctly? The police that drive on this island are worst than any other drivers. Just because its a red light..does not give you reason to flick on your sirens just to pass traffic. If you ask me.. being a police office on this island is a luxury job.

The woman is injured. I wish her a speedy and full recovery. Regardless of the resons, which could be her own fault. It could be a mechanical problem as well.

Is it just me or is the RCIP an embarrassment to the country? Can they get anything right?
The silver car that was
The silver car that was parked in the front of the yard that the police ran over the fence and into the front porch, was that the car she was chasing. Why else would she be going so fast. Right there a car should not be going moe than 15 miles per hour. And do you all know that inside the vehicle is a sticker that says something along these lines. This is not a high persuit vehicle. This vehicle should not be used for high persuits.
That's why it is called an
That's why it is called an ACCIDENT and why a vehicle is insured.
With the miles cruisers are driving compared to a private car, I am surprised we don't have more often news about accidents. How to reduce the risk is another story and is like anything else part of management. Seat belt ? I better hope so in a police car ! BBM while driving, nothing unusual to see (and most of the people that post here do it all the time, including myself).
All the speculations how the accident happened...I hope the officer will be allright.
Have any of you Morons
Have any of you Morons considered she could have had a seizure?
She could have blacked out due to fatigue?
I don't think much for most of our Police force, however as stated prior, we are all human!
We love to blame and point our fingers, but your day will too come when you have had an ACCIDENT!
Maybe if they had more encouragement and not negativity, they would be willing to try harder and protect the same morons that run them down everyday and try to blame everything on them.
If we as the people conducted our selves more appropriate there would be no such thing as police.
But due to the fact that we are so greedy, lazy, and will never think that our children are wrong in anything they do, Police are necessarry and will always be!
No, I'm not one.
Did they ever clear all the
Did they ever clear all the junked and wrecked cruisers from the traffic unit in Agnes Way?
That was embarrassing and it looks like it's going to happen again.

There, Fixed!
How many more accidents
How many more accidents involving police cars it will take before something is done about this problem????? How many of these expensive vehicles have been hit already??
Lord help us, what's next???? When will our Caymanians really equip themselves and know when, how & where to speak and to whom and what action to take to defend our future/our island?
Texting while driving. I do
Texting while driving. I do hope they look at that. The other day going home, I was stuck in traffic and I counted 8 of 10 people that flowed next to me as either texting or talking on the phone. Have ANY tickets been given out for this offense I wonder?

Just another day in the life
Just another day in the life of a Cop. They are human beings too and these things can happen to them. Do hope the officer is doing well and will soon be out of the hospital.
I wish her all the best and
I wish her all the best and hope she recover soon as well. But does the police know that they are only human as well?
I hope that this lady is
I hope that this lady is ok, but why on earth would one be travelling at such a speed to cause this? Not observing the streets and surroundings, obviously,
To carry on this tune, I do on a number of occasions DAILY observe the police using these vehicles with absolutely no regard for the upkeep or cost of them. Speeding, driving brand new vehicles through rough and rocky bush for no reason (and I know they could have driven around).. backing onto curbs, over parking blocks, cutting off other drivers, stopping traffic to pull over on a whim in the road... now I know that they don’t use their own personal vehicles with such disregard. Few sane people do if they can avoid it.
I am wondering how much more money that the public will have to pay for a whole NEW fleet of vehicles, when the need for them is caused by no other than police incompetence and absolute lack of driving skills.
Are the new cars the problem
Are the new cars the problem or the driver? They should have to pay for them.
I hope they where wearing

How about paying for the
