4th arrest in bank heist
(CNS): Updated 5:15pm - Police said Tuesday evening that a fourth person has now been arrested in connection with last week's bank robbery. A 29-year-old West Bay man who was arrested on Friday evening in the wake of the heist at Cayman National Bank in Buckingham Square was charged in court today with armed robbery. Police have made fast progress in the investigation following the early arrest. No details on the age or sex of the four people arrested have yet been revealed. Sources say the robbers took some $100,000 during the hold-up but police are believed to have recovered around $25,000, which was dropped by the suspects as they fled.
Three masked armed men held up the bank at around 9:40am, but as they attempted to make their escape the getaway car collided with an armoured cash van outside the bank. The crash blocked the robbers escape so they fled on foot towards the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, dropping some of the cash as they ran.
Anyone who has any information regarding this latest robbery should contact George Town police station on 949-4222, the RCIPS tip-line 949-7777 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477(TIPS).

Based on the thumbs down, at least one criminal minded scumbag has a computer. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, its probably stolen.

It appears that they knew the armoured car was to pick up money but they beat them to it .... well sort of. Kudos to the RCIPS now let's make sure that those responsible do NOT get bail so they can't spend the money before it's found. Offer an immediate reward and someone will squell and try and get ransom money. I agree with 19:09 post. 25 years minimum with their pictures plastered everywhere. This has to stop before an innocent bystander gets hut or killed or imagine a visitor to our islands. This is Very serious. But as long as our legislators keep showing they themselves are above the law this is the price we have to pay for their actions or should I say lack of setting good example to the criminals. Corruption begins at the top. Please elected representatives help stop this madness beginning with the one called our leader of Goverment as is arrogant manner and no clue how to balance a budget publicly saying things that only anger us more. Please dig into your soul and concience and do the right thing. I know that some of you are good men and trust me you help us by saying enough is enough and the people will stand behind you and then know you mean the best for our islands. Not this mess!!

Do we have a mandatory sentence for armed robbery? I would say 25 years would get some of these scumbags off the streets.
