where are the feasability studies? who will make this investment when such facilities exist south of us? another rubbish initiative XXXXX.

***** Is the oil refinery a people-initiative? Is it environmentally safe? Or, is it a government-initiative that will end up increasing the size of the civil service and only benefiting big shots??? Is such a project in the best interest of the people? And how do you separate the people's interest from the local economic role of the business/job market? This is a mad attempt of government take-over against the free market of the Cayman Islands! *****

The UDP Government announced

The UDP Government announced today plans to build a $2.5bn space port in North Side.  This development would bring in many jobs for Caymanians struggling to find employment in the international space travel sector. 

The Premier, drawing on his wide business experience, said that the plans for the spaceport made absolute sense.  He noted that this would not be a public investment but a private business led by a Mr. Tiberius Ebanks of North Side.  Mr. Ebanks, a school teacher, had the experience and connections to turn this idea into gold for Cayman, as he was a long time member of the Star Trek fan club and shared a name with Captain Kirk. 

The Premier noted in announcing this development that it was always his dream that Caymanians would walk on the moon, Mars and perhaps beyond. 

He continued that had bought the latest version of SimCity recently and built an oil refinery, giga-hospital, international seaport and a world class space station on a virtual Cayman and it all seemed to work fine provided you disabled the natural disaster toggle, so he could not see what all the fuss was about.

Tiberius Ebanks plans for the space port are available for inspection at the Library in George Town this week.  Any opposition to the proposed development must be filed in writing by last week in any of the public garbage cans located nearby.

What the hell Mario Rankin knows about the oil refinery industry? Now, if it was marl, lil race car track in a park or even removing some jam rocks from a back-how tire I would understand and take the lil dude seriously. My opportunist friends, UDP'ers & fellow Caymanians with this menu on your plates, you would have a better chance to sell ice to the North Pole Eskimos before you pull this stunt.

Fellow Caymanians You have nothing to worry about because just look at who the so called Caymanian owner will be of this $100m project and business. He has no money in his piggy bank so who is going to fund $100m for this project. He is another Caymanian front man for foreigners to reap the rewards and big profits from Caymanians. It's called selling your soul. If you believe the sales talk you are a bigger fool than they are because please think for a monment and name one manufacturering industry in the entire world which has zero emissions and zero waste. Think for a moment and see thought this crap. This is pie in the sky bullshit which will not come to pass.

An oil refinery is a very good idea and will provide good jobs for Caymanians. We need to build one and possibly two or three or four as soon as possible.
