This seems to be a lose lose

This seems to be a lose lose choice.

We have had PPM and the people were not happy.

We now have the UDP and the people are still not happy.

Other options are not that much better.

We even have expats coming on here and saying that we should choose someone that is not Caymanian. That is not going to happen. By the way someone mentioned the British PM as the true ruler and that is true to a certain extent. The UK Pm's have not truely interfered in Caymanian business. They have largely sat on the sidelines.

Now who to choose.

First lets remove the options of the two current political leaders Mr Tibbetts and Mr Bush. Generally speaking both leaders have had their chance to lead and have not done a good job. Beyond those members of both political parties have been viewed by most as followers not leaders. So we have to perhaps look to someone in the private sector. But who?

I am kindof surprise McKeeva is still holding a steady lead before so many. You would think with all the criticisms and attacks he would have fallen behind so many.  And interestingly, Ezzard Miller passes the head of the opposition Kurt Tibbetts in the poll - they are almost tied

I am truly appalled that the real National Hero of the Cayman Islands for the last decade plus is not included in this poll.

There is nobody who has come close to doing what he has done for these Islands or earned their keep in the manner he has done for so many years. I hereby call for his immediate instatement as Premier of this great Overseas Territory and the erection of a bronze statue in his honour in Heroes Square.

There is only one Captain Eugene Ebanks and his true hard work, commitment and dedication MUST be recognized.

The PPM is so divided till it

The PPM is so divided till it ain't even funny anymore,it is so obvious that there are serious problems amongst the so called pro Caymanian political party. As of today(20/03/10) 19% of votes belongs to Alden Mclaughlin,15% to premier McKeeva Bush and 11% for leader of the PPM Kurt Tibbetts. With Mr Mclaughlin leading Mr Tibbetts with votes one can conclude that PPM supporters along with others would love to see Alden Mclaughlin take over leadership of the PPM or move on and form his own party,I along with others do not percieved this move as something that would go down too well with Mr Tibbetts.Other names from the PPM camp, Charles "Chuckie" Clifford and Arden Mclean are also mentioned by posters in this poll, also, supporters of Chuckie are calling on him to take over leadership of the PPM or form his own party, the PPM right now is a house divided amongst itself and is nothing much of an opposition. The PPM must now get their act together or pick up another whipping from the more proactive McKeeva Bush and the UDP in 2013,now lets see if PPM supporters agree with me giving this post thumbs up or lets see if they get all fool-fool and give me thumbs down, lets see!!!!

But not with re-cycling the same tired slogans and the same political parties and the same cronies.  Enough already.  We want to move forward.  Not around in circles.
