PPM

I agree that the PPM  administration, like many other administrations had their flaws. But the ONE thing that they NEVER did was put a price tag on this country to the highest bidder! They also pushed for the implementation of the roll over policy so that there might be SOME job opportunities left/available for CAYMANIANS! At least they had interests of the Caymanian people at heart first and foremost. Big Mac and his crew are only interested in selling Cayman to the highest bidder - who are we kidding, Dart has most of the say already! If it wasn't for PPM, the new gov't administration building would have been located in Camana Bay for the benefit of Dart and his already disgustingly large empire. Why West Bayers keep voting for "Big Mac" truly leaves me bewildered. Maybe ya'll should stop focusing on which administration provides the most "handouts" come election time, and vote for people who mean this country some good!

PPM, UDP? the problem is not

PPM, UDP? the problem is not PPM or UDP its CIC!

Corrupt, Incompetent, Caymanians

Both PPM and UDP are made up of CICs.  So for all you simple minded voters if you voted for PPM or UDP you get and got CICs.  Simple enough.

How can you tell?  Look at Cayamans finances which they are in charge of. Now look at their own personal finances which they are in charge of.  What do you see?

Chucky wanted to build a huge industrial port facility beside Mr. Arthurs and Kurt.......... sleepily said nothing (pass the chicken)! This is tourist destination! mac came along just in time.

Mac is a great leader but needs anger management to control that tongue.

the role of an opposition is

the role of an opposition is to keep the elected government on its toes and to expose any unsound or corrupt decisions to the people of the country.

The PPM is failing to effectively do so. It appears that Mr. Bush has free reign.

Someone really must have had

Someone really must have had too many Gin and Tonics in the office when they thought up this poll.

This was a joke, right? You have got to be kidding.

And the 16 people who voted that the PPM, are doing a great job, really need their heads examined. lol.

Personally, I wouldn't give these muppets at the PPM the task of making an ice cream van profitable. Kurt would be asleep at the driving wheel, wee Chuckie would be eating all the ice cream, and McLaughlin would be scaring all the customers away...... and ovbiously no-one would have any idea, if it was profitable, because no accounts or budgets would be produced for years.......

The LoGB with his Boatswains

The LoGB with his Boatswains Beach and Pedro Castle attractions are what bankrupted this country...do the research and see how much money was spent building them and then subsidising them yearly...you'll see that's where the money is going to

PPM was vindictive and in

PPM was vindictive and in their quest to destroy any project started by McKeeva they also did in the country. If they had followed the business model and not added people like Joey Ebanks to make things worse then I believe Boatswains' Beach would have worked.  It is a beautiful place but the PPM let it go and of course it became a problem.  Lay square fault on them and they should accept that they left the country broke AGAIN!

Absolute nonsense. If it was

Absolute nonsense. If it was one thing the PPM was not that was vindictive. No one can hold candle to McKeeva in that dept. In fat if you subsitute "McKeeva" for "PPM" and vice versa your first statement would be accurate.

The record shows that Joey improved things at Boatswain's Beach. The project was a disaster from the start because the Govt. over-invested in it. At a cost of some $62 m and a negative net worth of $8.4m it was never going to pay for itself. You simply cannot persuade cruise ship tourists (or any tourists for that matter) to pay the sort of admission fee ($80+) that would allow the farm to turn a profit.

You are attempting to spin this with your rhetoric because it is clear proof that the UDP are not the wise, prudent managers you would like to paint them to be and are in fact no better than the PPM.

The PPM did a poor job as an

The PPM did a poor job as an elected government why would anyone think they would do any bettter as an opposition.

For what they have done to this country they should all resign and allow other people to take their seats for a more effective opposition.

I don't really understand how

I don't really understand how people can really say that about PPM when the majority of the REAL issues (lack of education, lack of employment opportunities, increased waste on attractions such as BB and PC, increase in population without planning, lack of infrastructural construction) this country has was caused by the past and present UDP government.

There are some promising individuals within the UDP camp, such as Rolston...but he obviously doesn't have a backbone for Mac.
